SAFETY
The New load Securement Regulation

will not allow the strap or chain to be outside the rub rail of the trailer. This also includes the hook. You cannot wrap the hook inside the rub rail and then hook it onto the rub rail inside or outside.

All load securement must be secured onto the frame or onto the area immediately below the rub rail and pockets. Anyone with the strap, chain or hook or any part of the hook outside the rub rail will be given an OUT OF SERVICE (OOS) citation.

Any strap that has a 1/4 in. cut or if its unraveling, or if it has holes in it or if it has knots tied in it will be OOS.

If the spare tire is not properly secured in the mounting will be an OOS.

Tarps, boards or any type of dunnage you may have on the trailer must be properly secured and the straps, chains or hooks must be inside the rub rail.

Drivers are receiving citations and OOS's for all of the above.

If due to the oversize of a load the strap or chain may be placed outside the rub rail.

Please secure the load legally and make the necessary safety checks within the first 50 miles and every 3 hours or 150 mile thereafter and note it on your log..
